James Sinoway, O.D.
After attending Northeastern and Boston University, Dr. Sinoway went on to receive his Doctorate of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University where he graduated at the top of his class. He then completed his externship at the renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, affiliated with the University of Miami School of Medicine. Bascom Palmer Eye Institute is recognized as one of the worlds finest and progressive centers for ophthalmic research and education. In 2007, it was rated the #1 eye hospital in the U.S. by US News and World Reports. Dr. Sinoway completed advanced training in the treatment of eye disease and specialized contact lens fittings. James Sinoway is a member of the American Optometric Association, The New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians, The Optometric Retina Society and The Glaucoma Society.
Dr. Sinoway is Board Certified by the American Board of Optometry. He is recognized as one of America's Top Optometrists by the Consumers Research Council and in 1996 he was certified by TLC for the pre and post operative care of LASIK and PRK patients. He has over 17 years of experience managing refractive surgery patients.Dr. Sinoway has provided eye care to over 100,000 patients. When Dr. Sinoway is not seeing patients he enjoys playing basketball, tennis, reading and spending time with his wife and three children.
Tracey Sinoway, O.D.
Received her bachelors degree from Boston University and her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University. Upon graduation she received an award for outstanding achievement in contact lenses. Dr. Sinoway has been in practice since 1996. She is a member of the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians and the American Optometric Association. She has been featured on Fox News and Bethany Ever After. Dr. Sinoway has been working with corneal surgeon Dr. Martin Fox since 1997. This relationship has afforded her to be one of the most experienced optometrists in fitting patients with keratoconus, high astigmatism and post surgical patients. She also has extensive experience managing LASIK patients. She consistently takes continuing medical education courses to stay abreast with all the new treatments and technology. Dr. Sinoway enjoys spending her free time with her husband and three children.
Sarika Mehta, O.D.
Dr. Mehta graduated with a Bachelors of Arts from Concordia College in Minnesota. From there she attended Illinois College of Optometry where she received her doctorate. Her externships include West Haven VA, Brooklyn VA, and The Illinois Eye Institute where she received training in low vision, ocular disease, and primary care optometry. She is a member of Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) through which she has done philanthropic work in Peru, Columbia, Costa Rica, and Bolivia. She is continually learning the latest in eye health, and lens/contact lens technology. In her free time she enjoys hiking upstate, running the east river path, healthy cooking, and traveling.
Nikki Sedaghat-Ardakani, O.D.
Nikki (Negar) Sedaghat, O.D. completed her undergraduate degree at Villanova University with a B.S. in Comprehensive Science. She continued her eduation at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA, where she received her degree of Doctor of Optometry. Dr. Sedaghat has worked in a variety of settings from providing free eye exams in poverty striken areas in Belize to working at the Veteran Affairs healthcare facilities to private offices, referral based clinics, and at Omni Eye Services of NJ. She is currently a member of the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicans, the American Optometric Association, and the Iranian American Medical Association. In her free time, she enjoys new workout ventures, traveling to new destinations and spending quality time with her family, friends, and pets.
Fay Khmelnitsky, O.D.
Fay Khmelnitsky, O.D., received her Bachelor of Science degree from St. John's University and Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
She provides comprehensive eye care and is TPA certified to treat various eye disease. She administers pre- and postoperative care for laser vision correction and cataract extractions. She has extensive experience with contact lenses, including keratoconus and post operative corneal transplants. She also has experience working with Low Vision patients and has published her research in age-related maculopathy.
Outside her love for Optometry, Dr. K. is passionate about her three children, husband, cooking, and football.
Gari D. Carabin, M.D.
Gari D. Carabin M.D. is a general ophthalmologist with the skills and dedication to care for your eyes. A Magna Cum Lauda graduate of Muhlenberg College, Dr. Carabin graduated from New York Medical College, and was elected into Alpha Omega Alpha (the national medical honor society). His postgraduate training includes one year of training in Internal Medicine at Hackensack Medical Center, and completion of his residency at New York Medical College, where he was chief resident. Dr. Carabin is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and Diplomate of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is an attending physician at Hackensack Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ. Dr. Carabin is certified in Lensx Femtosecond Laser for Cataract Surgery. He also provides care to veterans at the NJ Veteran Home in Edision, NJ. When he is not working Dr. Carabin enjoys spending time with his family. His hobbies include working out, running marathons and photography.
Sonya Malani, O.D.
Dr. Sonya Malani received her bachelors degree in Biological Sciences from Rutgers University. She later received her doctorate from the State University of New York College of Optometry, where she graduated with high honors. She then continued her education and completed a residency in Ocular Disease and Refractive Surgery at OMNI Eye Services NJ, where she trained under some of New Jersey's top ocular surgeons. She has experience in the treatment and management of ocular diseases including glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. She is also extensively trained in the pre- and post-operative care of cataract surgery patients. When Dr. Malani is not seeing patients, she enjoys cooking and travelling the world with her husband.
